Coffe Traders: From start-up to coffee giant
The theme of this playful simulation is to exchange information quickly and dynamically while creating communication around a specific theme: coffee.
Remember when there were only two types of coffee: black and white. Today, the choice is wider, hence more complex. Coffee has become a “must-have” accessory in everyday life, and consumers must learn to choose between various flavors offered by an increasing number of competitors in the market.
With this activity, participants become coffee traders and thus engage in interactions, communication, and negotiations, creating a sense of camaraderie and collective enthusiasm.
The session ends with a tailor-made sharing of experiences that brings out insights and realizations about our functioning within an organization.
Benefits:
- Communication and negotiation
- Interaction creator
- Sahring of information
Duration of the activity:
- 1h30
Format:
In-person
The challenge:
This activity captures the essence of the new economy, enables teams to focus on short and long-term goals, manage risk, practice “win-win negotiation,” and value the exchange of quality information.
In teams, participants are given resources and must buy, sell, and trade their stocks of coffee.
Thanks to the information held by the teams, interactions will take place, resulting in the exchange, sharing or negotiation of resources or information.
At the end of the activity, some will have become richer, others will have survived… The laws of the market are tough, and tactical choices have to be equal to the task!
