Benefits:

  • Communication
  • Getting to know others
  • Exchanges

Duration of the activity:

  • Between 30 minutes and 1h30

Format:

In-person

The challenge:

Capitalize on an exchange of points of view to get to know each other better, understand each other better and progress together.

Use a powerful diagnostic and communication tool to enable everyone to take a stand, express their ideas, learn to respect differences, develop a form of shared leadership and strengthen team spirit.

Smart Networking lets your participants meet in sub-commission rooms, and start conversations. These conversations can be focused on topics chosen in advance, and everyone’s point of view is given anonymously. This makes for a truly interactive plenary session.

What is Team Profile?

Enlightenments

  • Communication is frequent between team members on operational issues; it is rare when it comes to relational quality and optimal team functioning.
  • When accepted and understood, different points of view represent an intangible resource contributing to greater collective intelligence.
  • Listening, respecting differences, committing and taking responsibility are essential to creating and developing a winning team.
  • The free expression of points of view will encourage consensus-building and teaching.

How it works

  • Each teammate receives a small leather satchel containing 7 different-coloured stones.
  • Participants are seated in a circle.
  • Questions are asked about the team, its strengths, weaknesses, challenges and priorities. For each open-ended question, 7 answers are proposed. They were agreed in advance with the leaders.
  • Each person chooses the stone corresponding to their point of view and keeps it hidden in their hand.
  • At the signal, each person shows the chosen stone.
  • Each participant in turn explains the reason for their choice.
  • A histogram projected on a screen will reveal the profile of the teams and enable the lessons to be drawn that will help the teams to progress.
