E-Aventure: experience an extraordinary adventure from a distance

As a team, complete an entertaining “course” via an application that allows the team to complete challenges on the theme of a trip around the world or to the tastes of Egypt, depending on the objectives of the meeting. The challenges are divided into photo and video challenges, riddles and general knowledge questions. For each event, points are awarded to the teams by the game master. The teams’ creativity, culture and speed of resolution are rewarded.

Benefits:

  • Team cohesion
  • Solving problems as a team
  • Communication and cooperation

Duration of the activity:

  • 1 to 2 hours

Format:

In-person, Remote

The challenge:

THEME “THE EXPLORER’S CLUB

Philibert Brouillard is a 42-year-old French annuitant. His life consists of rubbing shoulders with businessmen in a private club called the “Explorers Club”, where he juggles endless poker games and historical debates over a cigar and a glass of Scotch.

The Explorers’ Club is a privileged group of people who share the same passions: travel and literature. This very exclusive circle was created in 1892. Admission fees are simple: a nice check and proof of a historic journey. To join this very private club, Philibert took a trip around the world in the footsteps of an explorer. At each stage of his expedition, Philibert brought back a souvenir that enabled him to become a member of the Explorers’ Club.

THEME “PARIS & THE PHARAOH LEGEND

Phara is a young Egyptian student who has come to study in Paris. Passionate about art history, he is in his 3rd year at the Sorbonne and dreams of one day opening his own antique store specializing in Neo-Egyptian art.

Phara has been living in Paris for 3 years now, and culturally speaking, it’s a privilege for a history-lover like him. Every neighborhood, every street, every statue has a story to tell… In fact, he rents a studio apartment at 2 Place du Caire, which made him smile the day he came to visit. I guess it was a little help from fate! Then it reminded him of the story his grandfather Raon used to tell him… According to him, his family was sacred and descended directly from an Egyptian God…

Enlightenments

  • Commitment to a common goal, a source of motivation
  • Sharing roles, creating time
  • A way to raise awareness of messages through content gamification
  • Each member’s commitment promotes team activity
  • Celebrating small victories builds champion morale
  • The right to make mistakes
  • Team communication and information exchange

How it works

  • Prior to the event: the project manager validates the content of the questions with the event organizer, as well as the logistical aspects.
  • The day before the event, the organizer receives an email to be forwarded to the participants a few hours before the event, indicating:
    – The application to download,
    – The videoconference participation link.
(If you use another videoconferencing system, these links must be created and managed internally).
  • At the time of the event: participants connect via the videoconferencing system.
  • The coach briefs the participants, explaining the challenge ahead and some of the technical aspects of using the application.
  • The Game Master assigns participants to “meeting rooms” by zooming in by team – each team is created in alphabetical order.
  • Teams solve riddles by consulting each other via zoom, take quizzes and complete video and photo challenges by consulting each other via their zoom meeting room. They need to communicate with other team members to solve these challenges. They have 45 minutes of challenges and have to collect the maximum number of points in that time by using strategy.
  • At the end of the game, all the participants gather in the main “room” for the debriefing led by the coach: the coach will collect the participants’ impressions of their experience, share photos taken during the game via his screen, and finally give the team rankings.
